I feel a prayer rise within me for guidance and help as so much shatter, As hills seem insurmountable , I need a hand.
I pray for a clear head but most for a trusting and steady heart.
Maybe I am asking too much when the world is burning when so many suffer losses and pain, far above understanding. I should say thanks instead, for every good that has come my way.
Do my battles with steady mind be grateful for the loving hearts that surround. Remember that without love and care our souls don’t live.
There’s a part of me that simply wants to wander in the woods, Miriam. I’ve often found peace there when the world seems so bleak. We could all use a hand now. A bird’s song is a beginning. –Curt
Thank you Curt for you beautiful and peaceful comment. Like you I also find peace in the woods and hills, I insist I can hear them whisper. Yes, we all need a hand , some comfort. And yes, I love birds of all kinds , they are soothing.
Profound insights, Miriam! I can hear the sound of wind howling and rain slashing at my window as I read this and know that peace can be found within a storm. Thank you for this profound moment of meditation.
Ah, Esther, it is wonderful to see you here and yes, I felt very strongly as I was looking out that morning after having glanced at the news. It came from that. 🙏.
Miriam, your powerful poem is much needed in our unsettled times. Your prayer answered as the recognition falls upon your inner strength, your love and those around us – there is where hope lies. Your last line is perfect – surprising, unexpected yet brilliant. I love your images with the post; the birds in the final one almost look as if a statue! There couldn’t possibly be more in the moment! hugs xx ❤️
Dear Annika, your comment has me tear eyed with its strength and depth. You are right, the hope within us all radiates possibility of healing. I am happy that you loved the last line and the birds. They show us life just is there to be lived. ❣️🤗. Hugs back.
