It is a long way from a little island in North Sea to the British shores but I did it albeit in a circuitous route.
Much will be revealed as I go along.
I tried my hand at many things but the Arts have always been my love. From tender years books were never far from my side.
Even my den among the rocks had a bookshelf fashioned by my friend and me.
Welcome to my eclectic blog, I hope to see you around.

Kathy, I do confuse some bloggers by having followed you around with only a Gravatar to my name. You have kindly liked my answers on various blogs.😉
I finally took the plunge and started a blog so now I won’t just be sneaking in to your parties..🦋🌻

It is an honour to hear you want to hear more of my poetry. Rest assured you will. 😉
You are right about the ‘strange’ technical world. It is important to know who is the boss……us or the various computers.
p.s. At least I send hand written postcards.🦉🌻

I notice you quote Richard Bach. “Illusions” was a fave of mine when I was young. As regards the rest of your quest to write and create, especially “Symphony” where you ask why we do what we do…There is no why, there just is. I’ll leave you with one of my favorite quotes, from George Balanchine. “I don’t want dancers who want to dance. I want dancers who have to dance.”

Richard Bach’s Ilkusion and Johnathan Livingston Seagull came to mean a lot to me and are still treasured.
I really love your quote from George Balanchine and this kind of passion should be present in all creation.

Hi Miriam,
I’ve been meaning to ask you if you’d like to submit a post to be featured in my series Family Histories. As I’ve told other participants, how you choose to define “family” and “histories” is totally up to you. Also, it’s an open invitation so if you need time to think about it, that’s fine. 🙂

Reading your posting carefully I realise I could pick just a part or events
from family and histories.
This is interesting and a number of ideas come. I will scribble them and see what becomes.
Will indeed be very happy if I can do something worth while.

Miriam. I seem to have lost your comment on my ‘OSLO’ blog of yesterday. I did read it and loved your much greater knowledge of this beautiful city, but, for some unknown reason, your message has disappeared from my computer. If you do have a copy of it still, could you please re-send it to me as I would like to express my thanks to you for sending it and to comment on it? My best wishes from Roland.
