MUSIC IN ALL

It is here again, live music pours forth
so shimmering and bright,
Making the air and us quiver
as each note streams and sings;

Creating a whole.

With strength and passion it enchants
my heart swells with joy.
Where and how did his music grow so,
reach heights, trying to express;

Feelings, events, beauty, sorrow and joy
won’t be contained, need to be told.
I can feel him ask the piano for more,
asking each string to give its all.

Give from strong emotions
carried within his young and strong heart.

He teaches me importance of striving our most
To express our heartaches, our love and joy.
To express life itself
knowing it can never be contained,

no more than the music of rain
falling on a lake or on leaves of a tree,
The symphony of storm on the sea
or the quiet sounds of your heart and breath.

Music surrounds us, heals us
At times wakes numbed minds

  1. The power of music is unquestionable… Music speaks…it whispers sweet melodious sounds into our ears. Whatever the language or the notes, the communiqué of music doesn’t need any props. It flows like a stream…straight into our veins and mingles into our blood. You have captured its nuances so well Miriam. Thanks for this lovely poem.

  2. Miriam, You remind me how music is a universal language conveying powerful emotions shared by the musician. Evoking emotions in the listener. Your words help express why tears stream down my face when I listen to certain songs. Thank you for writing a beautiful poem.

Thank you. Music frequently brings me to tears too. It opens us up to our
own inner emotions … I believe. Music is indeed an universal language
      and unifying at that.

  3. Miriam, a glorious post and magical video share … I’m enjoying the beauty of both this sunny morn! I love how you interweave the mystic force of music with nature, as it expresses “our heartaches, our love and joy.” Music is an integral part of our lives, we live with it, through it, than reliving memories once again! It reaches parts of our souls that so many of the arts can’t quite touch! A beautiful poem … I feel myself uplifted, soaring on its words! Hugs xx

  4. Ah, Annika, you just continue soaring. It fills my heart with joy if some words of mine made you remember and see the beauty you already have within.
I am grateful for your beautiful and spontaneous response. Music is indeed the most direct form of arts, entering the heart as a stream enters a river.

Put on some favourite music this sunny morn and just let go. Big smile. 🤗.

  5. How wonderful that you also feel the strength of music, Julie.
The cellist you heard playing – on a Stradivarius – sounds very evocative.
You have to be one with that note to make it carry like this.
    Thank you.

  6. You are so right Björn, to go and listen to a symphony orchestra
makes you feel enveloped in beauty.
Good idea to have season tickets and live close enough to a good
    Concert hall.

You also feel that music heals, many of us might have experienced this in our own lives. I know I have.
