  1. A peak experience for sure Miriam. A ‘tumbler’ perhaps? Those occasions, when you happen to catch the moment a raindrop falls from a leaf, or when the dawn chorus seems to be singing to ‘you’ alone or as you’ve just so wonderfully described, you catch the play of dawn light on the world, are truly gifts to be cherished.
There can be no doubt you ‘see’ Miriam, and lucky are those that your words let ‘see’ a well.
Thank you for this Miriam, you’ve lifted me from the mire this morn.

  2. You make my heart sing with your beautiful comment so full of spirit and shared love for all we see in nature.
If this helped you out of a ‘mire’ moment it also gave a blessing to me.
Funny you ask if it was a tumbler. It was at first verbally but didn’t reach the hearts so I popped in to my bedroom and scribbled quickly the first stanza,
a little later found space to sit alone and recapture the moment.
This poem has sat hidden in a computer since as it seemed …..sort of insignificant. Yesterday it just kept popping up so I prepared the post and wished it well.
Thank you Nigel, your heart saw it

  3. From Roland Ragbag……

and you’ve give me a smile too, along with a positive start to my day. Photograph and your well-chosen words do express the joy and eloquence of such a rare moment. Long may Nature continue to offer us such thrilling surprises.

  4. Wonderful post, Miriam. At a time when all the news is of snow, wind, cold and disruption, your discovery of beauty in nature is a balm. Magical photographs, too.

  5. In answer to Roland’s Ragbag

First, sorry Roland for having messed up the answers as I tried t move them in order..I had luckily copied it but couldn’t get your icon up.
    ……..
I am glad the poem brought a smile to you too. Visions like these are a blessing when we let daily worries occupy our minds. Each day I try to see
all that is on offer and where possible pass by the negative.
This morning there is beginning of snowmelt and a Robin came to sit on the windowsill and we had a chat. I told him he is so beautiful.😊 .

And now I’m smiling at the beauty of your poem, Miriam! 😀😀 Your capture the inherent and outer magic of this bejewelled tree wonderfully, transporting me to stand next to you as you open the curtains and see this spectacular view. I love your two last lines! A poem that will stay with me … settling in my soul. ❤️ Xxxxx

    • You are so right Radhika, nature does astound us every day. Even the days
we moan because it rains or snows. The awesome power or the gentle whisper is all part of its allure.
Thank you for your comment 😊💕 .

    • Wajeeha, thank you for your wonderful response.
Each new day is indeed worth celebrating. Life is precious for us all.
It is amazing how small things can be the trigger, we just need to take
      the time to really see.

  8. Miriam, this is a lovely poem that renders nature’s beauty so that we readers can also enjoy it. Nature asks little of us but is always generous with its bounty. It rained here last night also – I just turned to see a similar vision outside my own window – thanks for alerting me that beauty stands waiting for me to witness.

    • Thank you Sharon for your kind comment. It is so wonderful that you also
saw the same this morning. Yes, nature does stand waiting for us to notice, you are right. So let us use the wonder of vision both physical and emotional.

  9. What a wonderful picture, clicked at just the right moment! Your ‘jewelled tree’ seems to be a delight of photographers…a magic of Mother Nature! I have never seen such a heavenly sight Miriam. Thanks for sharing that romance of morning light with residue drops hanging on the tree and sprinkling the spell of your words on it to make it more eclectic. 🙂

    • Balroop, thank you for your lovely comment. Maybe it is too dry where
you live to leave the little raindrops shivering all along the branches and
leaves. The vision I had early in the morning is from my place in Sweden.
Those little pearls can be for a while on e.g. Big Lupin leaves where they really are spread in lines of little pearls. I have many photos of that.🦋😊 .

  10. Thank you so much Janice. I am glad you picked up on the handwriting
script. I really like using different fonts for different sort of poems. It is
not – for me – easy to transfer to WordPress with longer poems.
This is transferred using screen shot.

Don’t you feel that photos, scripts and various arts form a whole with our writing. Different art forms merging.

  11. The photo and your excellent poem Miriam are like reflections bouncing back off each other, like your line, “In harmony with itself.” I think the skill of the poet is to take us in to share the moment and you have done that beautifully Miriam, so thank you.

  12. Thank you Davy for your inspiring and beautiful comment.
You liked ” In harmony with itself” , don’t you often feel this in nature.
Even in a storm there seem to be a balance. I am so very glad you came in and shared.

  13. This is so lovely! And to catch the trees at that moment where the raindrops catch the light like tiny prisms takes incredible timing. Thank you for sharing this with us. Reminds me of seeing hoarfrost on the trees in the winter, when the snowy crust sparkles in the morning light before it all falls of. Well done, Miriam!

    • Thank you for your lovely comment Julie. These feelings when all is still and there is beauty around
you that you feel pushes to come out before you burst…like the bubbles in the sun.
It is quite frequent on the trees at my place in Sweden, just in case you come to visit and like getting
      up early.:))
